About Simone Nutrition

Eating disorders and disordered eating shape how a person relates to food in ways that go far beyond the physical. Perinatal health and sport bring their own distinct nutritional demands.

Specialized nutrition therapy helps individuals learn to nourish themselves in ways that are sustainable, responsive to their needs, and grounded in their full experience of health.

Together, through personalized nutrition therapy, we can:

Understand & nourish your body & mind

Redefine your relationship with food

Meal plan in a way that fits into your life

Learn about how food and nutrition can work for you

Learn More About Nikki

  • I practice from an evidence-based, weight-neutral, non-diet lens. I make treatment personal and individual, working with each client toward food freedom and body acceptance.

  •  I work with individuals navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image, as well as women who are trying to conceive, pregnant, or recently postpartum.

  • I completed my DPD and MS at Simmons University and my clinical dietetic internship through Utah State University. From there, I worked at Monte Nido at Laurel Hill, a residential treatment program for eating disorders, then transitioned to their PHP and IOP at the Eating Disorder Center of Boston. I also worked in a private practice for 5 years where I specialized in nutrition therapy for eating disorders before starting my own practice.

  • After becoming a mom myself, I began working with women trying to conceive, pregnant, or recently postpartum to help them optimize nutrition and feel comfortable in their skin during this phase of life.

In the prenatal space, with or without a history of disordered eating, it is easy to become obsessed with food, eating and your body. The overload of misinformation and expectations on women makes us more susceptible to negative body image, disordered eating and malnutrition during this special and critial phase of life.

  • As I realized my passion, I knew I wanted to be in private practice, counseling and working one on one with clients. After working in treatment centers, I spent several years working for another small practice specializing in eating disorders, body image, and intuitive eating before opening Simone Nutrition. Establishing my own practice has allowed me to expand my specialties, and support the growth of other dietitians.

Nicole Simone, MS, RD, is a licensed, registered dietitian with over 10 years of experience specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, body image, and perinatal nutrition. She sees clients virtually in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In her spare time, you'll find her cooking, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.

  •  My goal is to foster both physical and mental wellbeing through a collaborative approach. I meet clients where they are on their journey with food and work alongside them to provide comprehensive and compassionate support.

  • I love working with athletes, active individuals, and those working through their relationship with food and movement.

  •  I love helping clients create small goals they can attain to build a trustworthy relationship between the food they eat and their bodies.

  • I received a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and Behavior from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics with a concentration in Sports Nutrition from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I am also an active member of the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association. Prior to joining Simone Nutrition, I worked as a sports dietitian at the University of Pittsburgh supporting Division I student-athletes, and I currently work at the Renfrew Center as an eating disorder dietitian providing individual and group nutrition therapy at the PHP and IOP levels of care.

HOW WE HELP

After many combined years working as registered dietitians, we’ve found that virtual sessions allow for the most flexibility in treatment.

With virtual counseling, there is increased flexibility with scheduling, when and where we meet. This allows us to meet our clients where they are at and offer more time to meet their needs. We dedicate each session to getting to know you, establishing goals and figuring out how to reach those goals together. We also collaborate with any other providers to ensure you are getting the most comprehensive care.
